Proper diagnosis, effective treatment
At DHI Scotland we use the advanced DSA hair loss diagnostic system, because we believe that the correct diagnosis is one of the most important factors that play a role in the effective treatment of hair loss
The reason we developed the DSA diagnostic system
We investigated and learned that the staggering 67.3% of men and women with hair loss problems, underwent treatment practices without obtaining proper diagnosis. The DHI Medical Group developed the DSA baldness diagnosis system, to offer men and women comprehensive diagnosis in every type and form of hair loss and alopecia, as later to be effective and proportionate treatment.

DSA: Psychological, Mathematical, Dermatologic examination and DHI Alopecia Test
DSA was developed by a team of world renowned experts to provide accurate and personalized diagnosis for all types of alopecia – hair and scalp disorders.
DSA examines each specific case individually, including psychological aspects, dermatological examination, mathematical aspects and the DHI alopecia test; before determining the appropriate treatment plan.
A team of DHI experts that include administrative consultant, dermatologist, plastic surgeon, psychologist and endocrinologist are involved in the diagnostic process, according to each patient’s needs. A scientific board compiled of internationally renowned medical experts supervises and approves every treatment plan
Hair Biology Test
At DHI Scotland we participate in innovative research programs helping to clear the confusion and to offer a complete medical diagnosis for all types of alopecia, for both male and female hair loss.

The new innovative “Hair Biology Test” will be introduced to all DHI patients worldwide by DHI Global Medical Group and the University of Athens and will be part of the sophisticated diagnostic system for hair loss, the DSA.
The project entitled aims to study the stem cells in hair follicles in order to clarify their role in the cycle of hair follicle renewal, the regeneration and subsequent effectiveness of follicular transplantation for restoring hair growth. This study is also expected to determine whether oxidative stress is associated with the alteration of DNA detected in hair follicles of patients with androgenetic alopecia. The Hair Biology Test is a new key component in our advanced hair loss DSA (Diagnostic System for Alopecia), which offers the most comprehensive medical diagnosis for all types of alopecia for both male and female hair loss sufferers.
